There is an idea (by Victor, Sergey, Roch) to use 24-pin USB-C connectors for cryostat wiring. Good connectors (all are 24-pins, all made of stainless steel, thermoplastic, and copper alloy) Typical ratings: 30V, 3A, 10000 mating cycles:
I tried to solder a connector to a standard "loom wire" (12 constantan twisted pairs). For this I ordered a textolite board with 12 grooves on each side. Wires can be put in these groves, and then the board is soldered to the connector. I found this method too difficult and switched to PCB connectors. Probably a proper double-side PCB should be done instead of the textolite board. In this case wires can be soldered to the board and PCB mask will form grooves for them.
